IT Security Specialist

Description

Cybersecurity team is growing, this is becoming a focus area for JSI

They have 4 members on the team now, most sitting in DC. This role can be in their Boston or DC (technically Northern Virginia)office

They will be hiring a CISO as well - it's a growing department

Day to day includes: Incident monitoring, SIEM monitoring, SIEM tools, escalating security issues, supporting identity access/IAM issues, vulnerability scans, monitoring the queue for issues

Security tools they use: Nexus, Cisco Duo, Carbon Black, PingCastle

Experience with these specific tools are not a must have, but a nice to have

They can train on certain tools, but this candidate must have 1-3 years of experience using security tools for incident monitoring - What tools have you used and what did you do with them?

Some certifications would be nice to have, SANS Institute classes would be the best

Requirements

• 1-3 years of cybersecurity incident monitoring/SIEM experience

• 1-3 years of cybersecurity experience

• Experience using security monitoring or vulnerability tools (Which ones/what have you done with them?)

• Well - rounded (meaning some sort of background in IT, Help Desk or Desktop Support/Systems or Networking),

• Professional (good communication, eager to grow and learn)
