Performing software development and testing;
Designing, development and testing of microservices using XML, JSON and testing via SOAP UI, Postman tool and Selenium scripts;
Performing design, development and testing of the Restful web services and APIs; Working on SQL DB and creating SQL queries to troubleshoot data conditions;
Performing data mapping through the GDS API services, understanding the concepts of Service Oriented Architecture;
Functioning as a core member of an agile team driving user story creation, analysis and elaboration for software applications, testing and builds;
Partnering with internal and external customers using visualization tools like process mapping, wire frame creation and other techniques to fast track concepts;
Performing the travel reservation process and following it through from front office to mid office and back office systems;
Managing the test process from test case creation to defect tracking; Coordinate the application user acceptance testing and installation.
Must have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. In lieu of a master's degree plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation, will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have 3-5 years of experience (depending on degree) in the Travel Industry and technologies with expertise in systems involving digital, Omnichannel, API and web-based transactions; 3-5 years of recent experience (depending on degree) working on and implementing solutions on at least two (2) of the 4 main travel global distribution systems (GDS) Sabre, Amadeus, Apollo and Galileo (Apollo and Galileo GDS systems are also referred as Travelport); 3 years recent experience working on XMLS, JSONS, restful APIS and webservices to interact with multiple GDS systems and understanding the Travel data in OTA format; 3 years experience in using the Mysql database for travel data; 3 years experience working on at least two (2) of the automation tools such as Selenium, Soapui, Jmeter and postman for functional, load and regression testing; 2 years experience working with Agile using Scrum or Kanban software development methodologies and able to write user stories, defects and track sprint using Jira or Rally. May work from home office anywhere in the United States.
