Calmo Manufacturing, Inc has the highest quality processing and filling equipment available in the world with various robotics integrated and many automated features to exclusively process and fill Calmoseptine Ointment.

 

Job Summary:

We have a Senior Mechanical Engineer position available in our state of the art manufacturing facility which exclusively manufactures, fills and packages Calmoseptine Ointment.

 

Schedule

  • Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday, 530am-6pm
  • 35-55 Hours Per Week, Hours per day varies
  • Monday to Friday, weekends if needed
  • Day shift

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will identify, troubleshoot and recommend solutions to issues related to the production, filling and packaging equipment and facilities systems at Calmo Manufacturing, Inc and implement necessary repairs, replacement or upgrades.

The Senior Mechanical Engineer contributes significantly to the continuous improvement of existing manufacturing, filling, packaging and facilities systems and to the seamless transition of new equipment to ensure efficient and effective production, filling and packaging capabilities.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures
  • Evaluates mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs and applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer and materials.
  • Reviews production, filling, packaging and facilities equipment, hardware, software and tooling; makes recommendations for repairs, replacement or upgrades.
  • Researching and testing manufacturing, filling, and packaging methods and materials; and soliciting observations from operators.
  • Oversees installation of new equipment and ensures that it operates correctly; trains others to operate new machinery.
  • Oversees the enhancement and development of new processes, methods, and production controls in the manufacturing, filling and packaging of high-quality Calmoseptine Ointment.
  • Evaluate new equipment and conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and equipment validation.
  • Collaborate with others and participate in protocol development and execute equipment Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) per relevant internal and external standards, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • In charge of operations manuals for new or existing equipment.
  • Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Completes projects by training and guiding operators and technicians.
  • Assures system and product quality by designing testing method; testing finished product and system capabilities; and confirming fabrication, assembly and installation processes
  • Maintains knowledge of new and developing manufacturing technology, equipment, and applications; applies this knowledge to recommend and implement new technology and processes.
  • Innovatively explore opportunities for automation, robotics, and vision systems to optimize production efficiency and quality, utilizing data-driven problem-solving techniques.
  • Contribute to equipment layout and process mapping, leveraging statistical methods for optimization and efficiency gains.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess problems or issues using root cause analysis with manufacturing, filling, packaging and robotic equipment, including expertise in statistical analysis and design of experiments (DOE).
  • Adaptability to function effectively in a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment, utilizing data-driven problem-solving techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of production principles and techniques.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with SolidWorks or similar computer-aided drafting (CAD) software.

 

Education Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum Three years of experience as a Senior Mechanical engineer required
  • Experience in robotics, automation, and vision systems a plus.
