Junior Photo/Optical Production Technician

Position Requirements

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud products with focus on Lightroom, Photoshop and Premiere to process, add metadata, and archive Optical Systems Group imagery data

• Demonstrate intermediate to advanced graphic design skills using programs such as InDesign and Illustrator

• In depth knowledge of DSLR camera systems, lenses, and camera setup for various challenging scenarios

• Demonstrate understanding of metadata capture for imagery archival, to include but not limited to: descriptions, keywords, mission-specific metadata, and distribution rights

• Work with lead technician to plan, schedule, and review photo and video products for operational support

• Assist in maintenance and operation of portrait studio, to include strobe lighting and backdrops

• Keep working inventory of inks, papers, foamboard, laminate, and other large format printing and media production products

• Ability to maintain a computer record of all maintenance activities

• Working knowledge of video formats to include video resolution, frame rate, bit rates, and transport protocol

• Capability to transform operational video data into deliverable products as specified, using Adobe Creative Suite software

• Perform manual tasks, which may include lifting 40 lbs or more

• Ability to complete NASA Fall Protection training and comfortably work at heights in boom lifts or on platforms

• Foreign and domestic travel may be required. A valid U.S. passport will be required for this position.

• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.

Education

• 2 years of technical education/associate's degree in related field or relevant experience
