Axient is seeking a Launch Training Systems Engineer to support our customer in Vandenberg AFB, CA.
Develop and manage the Space Systems Command (SSC) Atlas/Delta Combined Training
Review, analyze SSC LV design, manufacturing, test, data analysis tools, and flight
Review, analyze SSC Launch service contracts and acquisition
Produce general and detailed coursework to prepare SSC Customer team for launch operations, acquisition, hardware acceptance reviews, and other functions as required.
Provide individual and group training using approved coursework including student evaluations.Includes Certification Briefings and hands-on Day-of-Launch training in USG and contractor
Manage and maintain Customer training and certification records and provide reports to
Notify Customer of student actions needed to maintain
Monitor acquisition and operations, capture Lessons Learned, and produce training
Capture and document Best Practices in Customer formats, such as Process Guides, Performance Work Statements, Guidebooks, Operating Instructions, Plans, Policies, Procedures, Regulations, etc.Provide technical and engineering inputs to related documents produced by others.
Perform technical analyses of systems engineering products such as Requirements, Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews, Test Plans, Test Procedures, Test Reports, Systems Engineering Master Plans, Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) submittals, and others as
Collaborate with Aerospace Corporation, Launch Vehicle Contractors, Launch Sites
Prepare weekly and other written evaluations and reports of a technical nature
Min Exp: 8 years' experience in program/project management, training, documentation, technical writing, network, communications, engineering, or related fields
Working knowledge of space launch systems and processes
Experience with one-on-one training and management of learning management systems.
Experience with Delta, Atlas (or similar) launch vehicle programs highly
Ability to data-mine designs, drawings, processes, procedures, to produce training
Ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams of DOD, USAF, NASA, NRO, and Contractor
Proven ability to work independently without significant oversight and direction and produce on
Ability to work proactively and responsively, identify and address customer concerns
Ability and willingness to provide Customers and colleagues accepted mentoring on people, processes, and parts, company processes, launch operations, engineering common sense, careers
Ability to write clear, concise, structured Weekly Activity Reports (WAR) on projects, progress, path forward, and include risk assessments and actionable
Ability and willingness to flex work schedules as required or work from remote
Must meet applicable COVID safety requirements and protocols
