  • GENERAL PURPOSE

    Oversees and directs the day-to-day operations of Supply Chain information systems and services. Oversees the design and installation of the systems and directs the operation and maintenance. Responsible for the planning, budgeting, rates, staff development and supervision as appropriate

    Develops, directs, and implements enterprise wide Supply Chain Management (SCM) application enhancements, optimization and standardization support plans and initiatives. Engages stakeholders, operational leaders, and business unit subject matter experts to affirm policies and plans. Provides consulting support and guidance through key Supply Chain IT initiatives; proactively shares knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to build and improve efficiency and effectiveness of SCM functions (Procurement, Warehouse, Finance, Inventory). Participates in Projects as a Supply Chain Subject Matter Expert, collaborates in project related decision making, assists with requirements definition, prioritizes and organizes project related work and technical team activities. Provides supervisory leadership, mentorship, and coaching to direct reports to assure efficient and effective IT operations.

    Serves as member of Information Systems Division's (ISD) Management team, with organizational impact focused on operational implementation over the short term.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for the oversight of specific information systems and services in support of business continuity and day to day operations. Manages administrative responsibilities related to specific information systems and services.

    • Employs technical and administrative expertise in the development of specifications for information systems and services in support of University of Rochester objectives. Analyzes operational aspects of assigned areas and prepares activity/progress reports and recommendations for improvements.

    • Organizes, directs and supervises activities for assigned areas of responsibility. Hires and manages all aspects of performance and initiates personnel actions. Plans and implements staff training programs.

    • Assists in the diagnosis and remediation of technology incidents including hardware, software, systems and information security problems. Collaborates with, and advises, user departments with regard to feasibility of systems and procedures.

    • With leadership, maintains responsibility for the 24 hour a day, uninterrupted operation of the University information systems and services.

    • Keeps abreast of trends and technical developments in the field by self-study, participating in job-related seminars, courses, or conferences, and liaison with vendors. May represent the University in organizations and initiatives at the local, state, and national level as appropriate.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree required

    • 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required

    • Experience in higher education field, medical, technical or healthcare setting preferred

    • ERP/Supply Chain Technology and operational knowledge/experience, Allscripts, Veradigm, Workday or other preferred

    • Business Relationship management and partnering expertise preferred

    • Consistent track record of managing and delivering timely and accurate results in a fast-paced environment preferred

    • Critical thinking, problem-solving, strong organizational and follow-up skills; ability to independently prioritize work preferred

    • Excellent communication skills: Ability to communicate technical solutions with non-technical counterparts preferred

    Pay Range

    Pay Range: $95,306 - $142,979 Annually

    The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
