    Job Description

    Operate as an expert-level leader in software quality engineering of software systems to build, manage and execute all aspects of testing and test cycles including functional, non-functional testing. Manage quality engineers in product development teams to continuously develop and implement quality engineering plans for software development, including automated, manual and integration testing strategies and work side by side with development to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality products, including code that is reliable, scalable, and functional within demanding timelines. Develop, enhance, and modernize the quality engineering platform, strategy, and methodology, maximizing automation opportunities to bring high-quality experience to the end users. Monitor all operations that affect quality and implement performance engineering practices to inspect quality issues and maintain product consistency throughout product cycle. Partner with technology leadership and identify, define, and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process with a focus on delivering high-quality software products and a commitment to continuous improvement. Implement and drive agile testing procedures to ensure each product release meets highest quality standards. Provide technical leadership and coach Quality Engineers working on key initiatives to meet quality objectives. Review and provide feedback on quality testing deliverables from quality engineers in the team, ensuring data privacy and compliance requirements are met. Assign work to subordinates, monitor performance, and conduct performance appraisals. Operate as a functional lead and subject matter expert among team members. Mentor and train peers on skills that improve the speed, quality and agility, and testing experience. Monitor quality metrics, overall system quality and act as the primary contact on the quality of the applications and ensure all systems are always up and running without any failures. Collaborate with business teams and other key stakeholders to coordinate and align objectives and ensure technology meets the requirements of the end users. Stay current with industry best practices, identify opportunities to continually enhance Sysco's Quality Assurance strategy and methodology.

    Minimum Requirements

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field plus 10 years of experience in software quality engineering roles involving development and/or test automation experience, including experience with software development methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum and influencing an agile development team to build quality software, experience with defect management tools and demonstrated proficiency in one of the test data management tools such as JIRA QMetry, TestLink, ALM/Quality Center etc., experience building performance scripts and conducting system performance testing using JMeter to ensure system reliability, capacity and scalability, experience applying proficiency in Quality engineering methodologies, strong knowledge in the overall Quality engineering practices in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and deep understanding of functional and non-functional testing, and the core concepts of Continuous integration (CI) and Continuous delivery (CD) and DevOps practices; 6 years of experience in leading a team of quality engineers in product development teams and including managing agile product development teams and delivering high quality products; 3 years of experience in designing and implementing Selenium and/or JMeter, TestNG, Jenkins, Page Object Model, automation frameworks for Web, API and mobile testing (Android & iOS).

    Alternate Requirements

    In lieu of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field of study, employer will accept an additional 2 years of experience for a total of 12 years of experience in software quality engineering roles involving development and/or test automation experience, including experience with software development methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum and influencing an agile development team to build quality software, experience with defect management tools and demonstrated proficiency in one of the test data management tools such as JIRA QMetry, TestLink, ALM/Quality Center etc., experience building performance scripts and conducting system performance testing using JMeter to ensure system reliability, capacity and scalability, experience applying proficiency in Quality engineering methodologies, strong knowledge in the overall Quality engineering practices in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and deep understanding of functional and non-functional testing, and the core concepts of Continuous integration (CI) and Continuous delivery (CD) and DevOps practices; 6 years of experience in leading a team of quality engineers in product development teams and including managing agile product development teams and delivering high quality products; 3 years of experience in designing and implementing Selenium and/or JMeter, TestNG, Jenkins, Page Object Model, automation frameworks for Web, API and mobile testing (Android & iOS).
