  • Job Description

    A client in the Huntsville area is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive manufacturing work instructions that outline the entire production process, including receiving inspection, fabrication, assembly, testing, integration, and refurbishment. Additionally, youll closely manage cost, quality, build sequence, and schedule throughout the manufacturing process. Youll review engineering drawings and provide final approval for manufacturing, implement process control measures through statistical analysis, and address repair and rework activities. Furthermore, youll design, procure, install, and integrate custom manufacturing equipment, collaborate with external suppliers and partners to ensure timely and budget-conscious production, analyze manufacturing equipment capacity, investigate root causes of non-conformances, and create effective material handling and packaging solutions to protect hardware during the build and test phases. Lastly, youll maintain hardware configuration and pedigree throughout the entire process.

    Skills and Requirements

    5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience

    Able to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures

    Familiar with Manufacturing execution systems/software (MES)

    Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design & manufacturing

    Familiarity with lean systems and methodologies

    Record of completing manufacturing projects including but not limited to: design for manufacturability, cycle time reduction, and mistake proofing systems

    Bachelors in STEM from accredited University

    Ability to travel for 1-2 weeks within the first 2 months on the job for training purposes Hands on experience in hardware manufacturing (i.e. castings, forgings, additively manufactured components, welding, machining, cleaning, non destructive test methods, tight tolerance assembly, lead testing, final acceptance testing of integrated hardware, etc) null
