    Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer - Intern (Ann Arbor, MI)

    Job Description:

    This internship begins Summer 2020. The successful candidate will work within a team of Manufacturing Engineers, supporting the team in dispositioning and troubleshooting product fallout, generating reports, updating documentation and providing production assistance. These efforts support the transition to production and development of manufacturing processes for the production of complex electro optical systems within a fast paced manufacturing environment. The candidate will apply engineering principles and troubleshooting skills in order to provide the day-to-day technical support. The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Specific responsibilities will include:

    • Disposition/analyze daily production fallout

    • Assist in the troubleshooting of product

    • Assist in the preparation of product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends

    • Perform root cause analysis of technical issues

    • Modify assembly process flows and work instructions as required

    • Train production staff as required


    • Currently enrolled in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field

    • GPA of 3.0 or greater
