Tenneco is seeking a driven, self-motivatedEngineeringfocused student who has an interest in gaining hands-on experience working at our fast paced Manufacturing facility located inJeffersonville, IN. After proper training on 1stshift, this position will be expected to work on 2ndand 3rdshifts with engineering team members.

The Tenneco student program provides a unique opportunity for students to learn, work, and contribute in an industry leading environment. As an intern working at Tenneco, you will be an active member on your team. Possible responsibilities include:

• Troubleshooting equipment and developing process improvements

• Collect data as needed to reduce component variation

• Monitor scrap, rework and downtime

• Identify root cause of issues and properly report

Required Skills

Required of an Intern:Must be able to work independently and in a team based environmentExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsExcellent problem solving and analytical skillsEffective time management skillsProficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Required Experience

Minimum Qualifications:Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institutionStudent with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higherAbility to work at least 20 hours per week during the internship periodPossess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's licenseAbility to provide own transportation to/from the job siteLegally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited institutionStudent with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
