    Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking passionate, engaged, and qualified Mechanical and Structural Engineering Manager (Level K) in Renton, Washington to lead high-performing 737 BCA Payloads engineering teams providing a variety of technical solutions and complex project oversight in support of existing and future commercial airplane products.

    As an Engineering Manager, you will have strong engineering expertise, ability to guide multi-faceted projects to completion, possess outstanding communication skills, and demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Keeps safety and quality at the forefront of all activities.

    • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural Engineering.

    • Leads development of engineering solutions for the Payloads Engineering function in support of current and future commercial airplane products.

    • Provides oversight to complex projects; integrating multiple considerations including: suppliers, interfacing engineering teams, production system needs, regulations, and airline requirements.

    • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.

    • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

    • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

    • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

    • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

    • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

    • Experience leading a team, formally or informally.

    • 5+ years of an engineering experience.

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • Knowledge of Boeing products and processes.

    • Knowledge of aircraft Cabin and Cargo products.

    • Experience collaborating with other engineering disciplines, production and/or regulatory organization.

    Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

    Summary pay range: $139,400 - $188,600
