    The Mechanical Designer will play a pivotal role in designing custom fabrications and intricate schematics for truck-mounted equipment. As a Mechanical Designer, you will create designs and detailed drawings for truck-mounted equipment, owning and supporting an assigned product line. As a key player in our team, you'll tackle projects with a focus on custom fabrications, 12-volt DC electrical integration circuits, vehicle OEM CANBUS interaction, hydraulic system components, and vehicle level hydraulic integration schematics.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design, integrate, and test truck-mounted equipment systems.

    • Design truck bodies and accessories using a variety of materials.

    • Create detailed drawings for manufacturing.

    • Design and create schematics for 12-volt DC electrical integration circuits with some vehicle OEM CANBUS

    • Develop simplified drawings for customer review and approval.

    • Generate electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics as required.

    • Resolve design, assembly, and manufacturing problems in a timely manner.

    • Develop, publish, and maintain operating manuals for our products.

    • Develop, publish, and maintain assembly instructions to support the Operations team.

    • Communicate effectively with sales, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers.

    • Support field network of shops by providing troubleshooting information.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a drafter or designer.

    • Associates Degree or Certificate in a relevant technical field such as Mechanical Design Technology or equivalent experience.

    • Proficiency with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD package.

    • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.

    • Project management skills required.

    • Requires organized work and execution.

    • Requires cross-functional work and communication - with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Leadership, Customers, and Suppliers.

    • Requires the ability to influence others without direct reports.
