SUMMARY: Our team is looking for an energetic and dynamic Mechanical Designer who will primarily be supporting the design efforts of Axiom's Space Suit and Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV) teams. We are looking for an individual with a strong technical background who excels at problem solving. The role requires strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work on a collaborative team developing Axiom's Space Suit and LTV
Work with the team to provide guidance on design for manufacturability and maintenance, in alignment with our core value of innovation
Ensure components meet design requirements, in alignment with our core value of integrity
Develop production models, demonstrating on our competency of organizational support
Create 2D drawings using GD&T according to ASME Y14.5

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field required.
5-10 years' experience in life support engineering, or similar role preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient in 3D CAD environment (preferably, SolidWorks).

Requirements
Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
