Network Engineer

Description

Robert Half is working with a client in Colleyville, TX in search of a Network Engineer.

POSITION: NETWORK ENGINEER

LOCATION: COLLEYVILLE (HYBRID)

DURATION: CONTRACT TO CONVERSION

RATE: $40-$50/HR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and administration of all network systems architecture for applications.

• Management of local area networks (LAN) including all networking equipment, equipment vendors and provide tier-3 LAN support services.

• Architecture, deployment and ongoing services of national router and switch hardware, software & patches.

• Design, architecture, and ongoing assessment of DNS & DHCP services as the senior administrator.

• Maintain Monitoring & Alerting Systems for Network, Telecommunication/VOIP & Application Systems.

• Disaster Recovery Core Team member.

Competencies

• Must have solid understanding of operating systems.

• Knowledge of various hardware and software platforms not limited to PC's, Laptops, switches, and routers.

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Ability to lead projects and maintenance activities across national WAN & LAN networks.

Education and/or Experience: (includes certificate & licenses)

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in business, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering; or equivalent work experience/combined education.

• 8-10 years of previous experience preferred.

• Working knowledge of BGP and OSPF.

• Significant experience with the following vendors is a major plus: HPE Aruba, F5, Palo Alto Networks, Silver Peak.

• CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, CCNA Voice or CCVP preferred.

• Working experiences with Microsoft Windows Server products, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP a plus.
