Network Engineer

Description We have a great opportunity for someone who has a strong interest in networking hardware and software. Are you well versed in interfacing, security, Internet protocols and server and network infrastructure? Robert Half is seeking a Network Engineer with a high attention to detail and a passion for the field. Located in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area, this Network Engineer role is an opportunity for long-term contract / contract employment.

Your responsibilities in this role

• Contribute top-notch support and technical expertise in networking technology such as hubs, bridges, hardware and routers

• Collaborate with vendors, clients, carriers and technical staff on the implementation, optimization and ongoing management of networks

• Ensure a secure transfer of data to various locations via internal and external networks

• Set up and manage network test facilities

• Develop enterprise data, voice, and video networks through the use of traditional and creative methods Requirements - Foundational knowledge in Cisco CCNA

• ITIL Processes experience

• Cisco Catalyst Switches experience required

• Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) experience

• Juniper experience

• Familiar with network design and implementation strategies
