Network Systems Administrator/Cloud

KEY TO BEING QUALIFIED FOR THIS POSITION IS A SKILL SET THAT REQUIRES SYSTEMS EXPERIENCE WITH SQL SERVER, PEOPLESOFT AND SHAREPOINT.  Cloud expertise is minimal. 

The Network Systems Administrator/Cloud reports to Assistant Director, Cloud and Systems Architectures, and is responsible for installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining on premise and cloud-based servers, hardware and software, performing strategic systems planning to accommodate change and growth. This individual is responsible for cloud vendor management of project tasks, changes, and issue resolution and coordinates with internal client teams during problem resolution and escalation, using ITSM solutions for issue tracking and reporting. This Administrator supports disaster recovery planning, preparation and testing for all critical systems noted within Business Continuity Plan within on-premises or cloud configuration and assists the Cyber Security team with all server, infrastructure and application security tasks. This individual is also responsible for escalated Service Desk break/fix tickets along with daily/weekly and monthly operational tasks such as Cisco Tidal and health care vendor file transfers.  

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

• a bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field;
• MCSA certification or relevant work experience required;
• five to eight years’ work experience in an IT environment, with working knowledge of Windows and three to five years working knowledge of VMware and server provisioning;
• strong understanding and experience with virtualization technologies, specifically VMware, VMware VCP certification preferred;
• experience in administering and supporting Microsoft related technologies, including traditional Windows Server environments, Office 365, Microsoft Azure, SQL Server, SharePoint Exchange, PowerShell, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and printing;
• experience with Office 365 administration, maintenance, and customization
• an understanding of ITIL fundamentals and practices;
• experience with PeopleSoft administration, including HRMS, Weblogic, PeopleTools, and the PeopleSoft Internet Architecture, is preferable;
• excellent analytical and technical problem solving abilities; and
• excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
