    About you and this role

    This role supports Poly A and Poly D in Plaquemine, LA. As the Plant Quality Technologist, you execute business, site and plant/department quality tasks and programs to enable the business to profitably meet customer and product regulatory requirements related to the quality management system. Help promote a customer-focused culture within a large plant or across multiple plants at a site with significantly complex interfaces and/or requirements, and enhance the front-line knowledge and accountability for quality. Requires full proficiency in a range of technical, operational, or analytical/scientific processes and procedures through job-related training and considerable on the job experience to perform a variety of work assignments. Act as an informal resource for team members with less experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Support routine day-to-day implementation and maintenance tasks related to the plant quality system.

    • Support plant-level management of change activities related to product quality.

    • Support plant quality training related to key quality system requirements to meet customer and product regulatory needs as well as the use of supporting tools and processes to achieve plant and business quality goals.

    • Monitor effectiveness of the plant's quality management system. Support strategic improvement opportunities.

    • Support product quality problem solving efforts through execution of data mining, traceability investigations and batch reviews.

    • Ensure that product returns and non-conforming product are appropriately managed to prevent unintended use, including disposition.

    • Ensure plant Operating Discipline systems, procedures and guidelines are improved and optimized to meet plant and business quality system requirements, as appropriate.

    • Host customer and other quality related external audits, in cooperation with commercial and other functions.

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of a Short-Cycle Tertiary Degree (i.e. Associate's Degree) in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) field or 3 more years of relevant military training/experience required.

    • At least 3 years of manufacturing or other related experience required.

    • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
