  • Overview

    POWER APP/BI DEVELOPER (ERDC):

    Bowhead seeks a Power App/BI Developer to support the Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC) contract headquartered in Vicksburg, MS. The Power App/BI Developer will primarily focus on the development of a FUDSMIS prototype using the Microsoft Power Platform. Activities involve translating software and design requirements into code, test software, and sustain currently existing software application programs.

    Responsibilities

    • Using an Agile software development methodology, the Developer shall provide design, development, and deployment of the Formerly Used Defense Sites Portal (FUDS Portal) prototype.

    • Required development programming language includes the Microsoft Power Platform suite.

    • Support system development through work assigned via requirements specifications provided by the FUDS Portal development team.

    • Perform full-stack development for all tasks to include creation and updates for requirements, code, database, documentation (task, code, database, and user guides), and task tracking.

    • Document the code, software logic, database structure, components, and infrastructure needs, e.g., tools, configurations, network protocols, and security for all work performed.

    • Follow all programming procedures, standards, security requirements, and best practices for the system.

    Qualifications

    • BA/S in Computer Science or related field and an additional two to five (2-5) years of professional experience

    • Must have experience with Microsoft Power Platform suite

    • A CompTIA Security+ certificate may be required prior to starting this position

    • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

    • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts

    • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

    Physical Demands

    • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

    • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

    • Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically

    SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Public Trust clearance at this location.
