    The Power BI Engineer will participate within a small Team of skilled professionals developing solutions for all facets of the Organization. Intermediate to advanced level Power BI skills, along with a wide variety of generalized skills are required to design, develop, and support technical solutions across the gamut of disciplines and industries. Assets include PowerBI dashboards, Analysis Services cubes, reports, and various integration applications. Provide support for all aspects of the foundational infrastructure to support Enterprise solutions.

    Responsibilities

    • Data handling and processing:

    • Understand business requirements in BI context.

    • Create dashboards and interactive visual reports using Power BI

    • Design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights.

    • Analyze relationships between data to develop tabular and other multidimensional data models.

    • Product development:

    • Identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with clear objectives and monitor appropriately.

    • Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI, business intelligence, and automation solutions.

    • Perform DAX queries and functions in Power BI

    • Create customized charts and custom calculations per requirements.

    • Perform detailed analytics to achieve stable and performant results.

    • Operational:

    • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and execute to completion.

    • Create and maintain documentation for new and existing solutions

    • Proactively understand and effectively suggest new or emerging technologies to improve business processes and ensure industry competitiveness.

    • Collaborate with system administrators to integrate approved technologies for more advanced analytics, including Power Automate and PowerApps

    • May be asked to mentor, lead, or direct the work of others within project efforts.

    • Occasional off hour support for Power BI resources

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technology field preferred.

    • 3+ years of experience in Business Analytics tools developing Reporting and Dashboards

    • 3+ years of experience in Reporting and Analytics using Power BI including DAX, Data Modelling, and RLS

    • Demonstrated experience in business process automation.

    • Experience in design using SharePoint and other collaboration platforms.

    • Additional Power Automate and Power Apps experience is preferred.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Knowledge of Microsoft BI Stack (DAX, Power Query, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS)

    • Knowledge of Power Platform and business process automation tools (such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Nintex)

    • Knowledge of Database management, SQL querying, and data modeling

    • Knowledge of Visual Studio, Source Control, Microsoft SQL Server

    • Knowledge of SharePoint, Entra ID/Active Directory, Microsoft 365

    • Knowledge of fundamental security best practices

    • Familiarity with Datawarehouse development

    • Familiarity with Azure Cloud services

    • Ability to work in a team environment

    • Ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.

    • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups and individuals.

    • Ability to manage multiple efforts concurrently.

    • Ability to handle and remain flexible as departmental responsibilities shift and expand.

    • Ability to be detail oriented and well organized

    • Possess strong analytical skills
