    As a Circuit Design Engineer/Lead for Intel's Power Business Unit (Enpirion) inside the Networking and Custom Logic Group (NCLG), you will be responsible for leading product/circuit design activities for state of the art power products that power FPGAs, CPU cores, DRAM, and other high-performance power applications. The position requires a good understanding of power products (DC-DC converters/Power stages/Controllers), server, and FPGA platform requirements.

    The responsibilities include the following:

    • Interact with Marketing, Systems, and other technical team members to define and specify product requirements.

    • Design, develop, modify, and evaluate complex analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits for power products, including high-current power stages, integrated DC/DC Point-of-Load (POL) converters, and other power related products.

    • Supervise and review the physical design/layout of power integrated circuits, working with in-house and/or external physical design team members.

    • Work with Architecture, Design, Applications, Product Engineering and Automated Test Engineering teams to define product test requirements as well as provide in-feeds for full product validation plans across all disciplines.

    • Work with Applications team members to support the design of evaluation boards and specify required discrete components.

    • Evaluate product/device/circuit performance in the engineering lab as well as support validation engineering with product validation activities.

    Qualifications

    • 10+ years of analog, mixed-signal, and power circuit design - with a specific focus on power products/circuits.

    • Experience with Cadence IC design tools - including circuit simulation and layout tools.

    • Extensive experience designing integrated circuits and power products with BCD and LDMOS process technologies.

    • Experience with DC/DC converter design, including controller and power stage design, are essential.

    • Experience with the design and characterization of high-power power stages preferred.

    • Extensive experience characterizing power stage and DC/DC converter performance in the engineering lab.

    • BSEE or related degree (MSEE or related is a plus)
