POSITION SUMMARY

As a Principal Engineer for our Video product, you will play a critical leadership role in designing and developing our next generation of cloud based video management software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create scalable, reliable, and high-performance VMS solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. Your expertise will guide the strategic direction of our VMS engineering efforts, ensuring we continue to lead in a competitive market.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the development and maintenance of scalable, secure, and efficient VMS solutions.

• Collaborate with product management, Cloud services, and Machine learning teams to define product vision and roadmap.

• Mentor and guide a team of engineers, fostering an environment of innovation and excellence.

• Ensure the implementation of best practices in software architecture, coding standards, and technology frameworks.

• Stay ahead of industry trends and advancements in video surveillance and security technologies.

• Drive continuous improvement in our software development processes.

• Lead by example in coding, documentation, and architecture decisions.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in video management solutions or related fields.

• Deep technical expertise in designing and developing large-scale, distributed software systems.

• Proficiency in C++, C#, and .NET programming languages, and experience with database management systems.

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud) and understanding of SaaS delivery models.

• Knowledge of video coding standards, streaming protocols, and video analytics technologies.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
