    This role supports the operational management and best practices for strategic customers hosted on Oracle cloud computing environment. Primarily focused on helping to deliver service resiliency, this role will develop and manage a reporting ecosystem that will determine the health of strategic customer environments and will work with change, capacity and incident management teams to identify issue prior to them happening.

    Must have a thorough understanding of cloud architectures infrastructure as well as in depth experience in a technical vertical such as networking or virtualization. As OCI is a cloud-based network with a global footprint, this support will include hundreds of thousands of network devices supporting millions of servers, connected over a mix of dedicated backbone infrastructure and the Internet.

    Responsibilities

    • Create and manage a suite of monitoring tools and dashboards to provide operational teams and leadership snapshots on current health of the strategic customer environments.

    • Should be able to evaluate and use off the shelf packages, internally developed tools and as need arises, developing tools or scripts for specific requirements.

    • Liaise with capacity management teams to determine platform consumption rates and assist in forecasting capacity more accurately.

    • In event of an incident, assist the incident management and engineering teams to rapidly identify the root cause of any incident that occurs in Oracle Cloud

    • Work with strategic customers and vendors to help them identify when an issue may be outside Oracle Cloud but still impacting.

    • Act as part of project teams for service deployments and enhancements to identify where resources are constrained and offer advice and guidance on mitigation efforts.

    • Advises project/program manager and coordinates with immediate and skip-level leadership.

    • Collaborates across teams within same org (same VP).

    • May serve as technical SME in multi-functional activities.

    • Has technical responsibility for moderately complex project(s), including project requirements, specifications (where applicable), and documentation.

    • Act as SME for root cause analysis efforts.

    • Frequently develops scripts to automate non-traditional, complex tasks for business unit.

    • Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle.

    • Provides a broad set of guidance to technical and senior technical members of staff.

    • Collaborates with vendor engineering and account manager to address current business or operational issues.

    • May lead the adoption of new vendor hardware.

    • Active communication with product teams.

    • Participate in coordinated communication with product teams, networking leadership, and PMO to help assess gaps, solutions and needs.

    US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

    Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

    Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

    8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
