About the job As a Process Development Engineer on the Advanced Materials and Processes Team, you will be responsible for the development of low cost, robust, and manufacturable unit processes and integration for technology development programs at various stages of development-from conception to initial feasibility to process/product qualification and into early production ramp. This will involve the introduction of new materials, processes, and equipment to help provide competitive advantage to TI's most advanced analog technologies. Responsibilities include: Identify, develop, characterize, and improve semiconductor unit processes and associated materials to meet program requirements for TI's newest generation of devices. This exciting opportunity often involves bringing in new materials, processes, or equipment to TI for the first time. The job responsibility will be accomplished through a mix of direct hands-on development activity in an advanced semiconductor fabrication facility as well as through the use of multiphysics simulation tools. The engineer will work in a cross-functional team between ATD and a key manufacturing facility, and have significant interactions with equipment and material suppliers, characterization labs, and other groups (test, packaging, product groups). Strong communications skills are a must. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: + Masters in Chemical Engineering, Matrial Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or Mechanical Engineering + Minimum Cumulative GPA 3.0/4.0 Preferred qualifications: + Preferred background/thesis work includes: hands-on research/characterization of chemical or mechanical processes (preferably semiconductor unit process), reactor simulation of chemical or mechanical process (preferably semiconductor unit process). + ?????Preferred coursework: Semiconductor device physics and processing combined with strong foundation in physics, chemistry, materials science, and/or chemical kinetics/thermodynamics. + Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions + Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery + Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing envrionment + Abilty to take the initiative and drive for results If you are interested in this position, please apply to this requisition.
