    If so, nice to meet you! Mitsubishi Chemical Group ALPOLIC Division is in the Chesapeake, VA area. The Process Engineer is responsible for improving the manufacturing process. They will be directly involved in troubleshooting and resolving production operation problems, analyzing equipment failures, developing & maintaining standard operating procedures, specification, and work instructions. They will also assist in designing, constructing, installing, and commissioning new equipment. Come be a part of this dynamic team!!

    What You Will Do...

    • Assess and analyze production operations to identify and develop new manufacturing processes

    • Design, configure, and work with team to improve processes

    • Analyze operating procedures, equipment, and machine functions to reduce processing time, downtime, and quality losses.

    • Use effective problem-solving and troubleshooting techniques to identify solutions.

    • Optimize process requirements, cost, man-machine-process interface, and employee health * safety factors using sound analysis and judgment.

    • Perform tests and confirm measurements throughout stages of production to determine control over variables such as temperature, thickness, pressure, tensions etc.

    • Analyze, develop, and recommend process changes

    • Develop engineering plans to meet company objectives for introduction of new products

    • Introduce designs, drawings, and specifications to team

    • Review routers, bill of material, work orders and other documents to validate functionality and identify streamlining opportunities

    • Provide input on new equipment purchases to ensure equipment meets safety, quality, and production standards

    • Obtain competitive quotes for upgrades and present to management for approval

    • Oversee construction and installation of new equipment, prepare SOP etc

    • Support optimization of

    What You Will Have...

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field

    • Seven years of experience in: industrial, manufacturing, and/or commercial design as well as project cost tracking, ongoing cost estimate validation, creation of purchase requisitions, material and equipment tracking, subcontractor or vendor requests for pricing, vendor management, submittal generation and oversight, document control, warranty, and application support

    • Project management

    • Driver of continuous improvement (Six Sigma Certification a plus)

    • Experience running improvement projects

    • Fluent in spoken and written English

    • Troubleshooting, problem solving

    • Self-motivated

    • Able to work alone or in a team setting

    The salary range for this position is $72,960 - $109,440. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
