    Purpose :TheProcessImprovementSupervisorwill assess current state performance,identifygaps,visualizeandestablisha plan to get to the future state,monitorprogress and share/acquire best-in-class ideas and systems.The position will support a "safety first"culture, championLean thinking and principles, teach,coachand drive continuous improvementthrough all areas of the plant, improve the outcomes of processes (safety, efficiencies, cost, customer satisfaction), and provide recommendations to key management personnel to influence change and implement improvement programs.

    Responsibilities

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

    • Ensures compliance with all corporate and plant safety policies and procedures

    • Evaluates plant efficiencies and drives cost savings byidentifyingandfacilitatingprocess improvement projectsthrough:

    • "Just Do It" improvements

    • Six Sigma projects

    • Lean Implementation projects

    • Assistall teams withgoal-settingand tracking for all Continuous Improvement measures within the plant

    • Utilizes process controlmethodology(Six Sigma, SPC, Designed Experiments, etc...) to solve problems and improve process control and capability

    • Create andfacilitatestraining/workshops to drive cultural change.

    • Develop andmaintainsystems including performance measurements, failure costs, control systems, quality standards, product and process capability for all raw materials and finished products byutilizingsuch tools as statistical methods, pareto charts, flow charting, standard work,process control documents, cross training matrix, etc.

    • Partners with Operations and Engineering teams tomonitorand evaluate effectiveness ofprograms and changes.

    • Coaches andmentors'personnel including Plant Staff, hourlyworkersand supervision to apply correct approachusing Leantools for improvementand helpsidentifybarriers to project success.

    • Establish,communicateand reinforce best practices agreed upon within the plant

    • Responsible for developing a 'control' process to leave completed projects tothe qualifiedpersonnel to sustain.

    • Support the effective implementation of investment projects approved forcapacityor facility expansion and upgrades

    • Ensures plans are in place to meet all performance indicator targets/goals

    • Other responsibilities as assigned

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • University degree and 1 year suggested minimum experience, or2 yeardegree and 6 years suggested minimum experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Experience in Injection Molding is asubstantialplus

    • Six Sigma Green Belt desired

    • Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing including leading Kaizen events.

    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

    • The person in this role should be proficient withuseof computer and software applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
