    Crane Company is seeking to hire a Product Support Engineer at our Lynnwood, WA facility.

    This position is eligible for our Crane Flex Hybrid schedule which allows for the option of up to 2 days/week of work-from-home. Some conditions apply which will be discussed during the interview process. Full policy to be provided after hire.

    Job Summary:

    The Product Support Engineer will use established procedures and work under limited supervision to manage delivery of product support documentation, ensure adherence to product requirements, Crane's processes and policies, and adherence to industry requirements and standards. The Product Support Engineer also participates in validation of maintenance manuals as required and provides technical support to ensure customer satisfaction including completion of technical and industry standard reviews for the internal approval of CMMs, CMPs, and Service Bulletins. The Product Support Engineer performs assigned tasks by working cross-functionally with Engineering, Repair and Overhaul, Suppliers and Customers. This position will assume project management responsibilities: responsible for cost estimates, supplier RFQs, Purchase Requisitions/Purchase Order initiation, and cost and schedule requirements. The Product Support Engineer should have expert knowledge of industry standards, practices and procedures related to product support documentation such as Component Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins, Provisioning Data, and related publications.

    Essential Functions:

    • Manage all outsourcing activities for technical publications documents, including preparing schedules and cost estimates, and managing suppliers writing efforts.

    • Translate customer specifications; communicate requirements to offshore and domestic vendors.

    • Support Airline and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customer technical inquiries related to maintenance instructions

    • Support new product Entry into Service (EIS) programs and revision activity

    • Support validation activities in-house and as required by customer

    • Resolve technical in-service issues, and provide design engineers with product feedback

    • Manage inter-company communications regarding development and release

    • Collaborate with other engineering departments and coordinate their specialized contributions to the development of documentation

    • Provide support for internal technical writers and suppliers to improve production processes

    • Function as Technical Publications interface for internal and external customer; assist customer as required to resolve content discrepancies

    • Review industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance

    • Any other task assigned by supervisor or management

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Experience: 5+ years relevant work experience, project management experience

    • Knowledge:

    • Working knowledge of the airline industry, airline products, airline support requirements, and regulatory requirements;

    • Working knowledge of aircraft and shop level maintenance;

    • Working knowledge of MS Projects;

    • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.

    • Knowledge of product development processes;

    • Maintain knowledge of CFR, FAR, SFAR's (Federal Aviation Regulations)

    • Maintain knowledge of industry and customer standards including ATA S1000D and iSpec 2200

    • Skills/Abilities:

    • Excellent documentation, organization, and time management skills.

    • Ability to write procedures, reports, and maintenance documentation.

    • Demonstrated ability to lead projects through complete cycle.

    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in technical and regulated environment.

    • Proficient with MS Office including Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

    • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related discipline

    Eligibility Requirement: This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).     Salary range: $116,000 to $146,000. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications.
