    Photonics Ops South, a CACI company, is looking for a Production Test Technician who can independently serve as a skilled technical specialist to test custom photonic, mechanical, and electrical hardware solutions for its production Space flight Optical Inter Satellite Link Terminals. This would also include supporting test engineers in developing improvements of procedures for conducting these tests.

    What You'll Get to Do:

    Test PCBA and mechanical subassemblies for space flight production units

    Perform optical or electrical testing and characterization as specified by work instructions

    Independently follow test procedures and record detailed test data in travelers

    Document test failures in the failure reporting system

    Support the maintenance of cleanroom test equipment and tooling

    You'll Bring These Qualifications:

    Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the following areas:

    Experience testing custom, complex electromechanical and optical assemblies.

    Use of optical sources, power meters, and optical spectrum analyzers to test optical components

    General understanding of basic electrical and photonic principles

    Microelectronic assembly experience a plus

    Hand soldering in compliance to J-STD-0001 space addendum a plus

    Ability to follow detailed work instructions or test procedures

    Minimum Education and Experience:

    Associate degree in a related technical field is desirable

    1-3 years of related experience is required, or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience

    Working Conditions:

    Work is typically performed in a Cleanroom environment which requires proper safety precautions.
