Project Engineer

Description

You will be responsible for conducting and performing engineering research and development work on assigned projects. This includes application of sound and accepted engineering principles, exploratory research and techniques, design, construction, and testing of pilot models. Duties: -Lead new projects with support from engineers -Analyzes and interprets engineering concepts and specifications for development projects -Responsible for the application of sound and accepted engineering principals -Offers technical advice and assistance to engineers and designers -Maintains records -Keeps well informed of new developments in engineering blown film technology and/or compressor industry -Occasionally visits customer sites -Reports to management as required -Assists sales -Uses integrated business system effectively -Supports lean and other process improvement activities

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

-Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering -4-10 years related experience in the engineer-to-order machinery industry -Knowledge of parts numbering systems -Knowledge of Bill of Materials -Engineering revision systems -Proficient in use of AutoCAD -Proficient use of SolidWorks 3D Modeling System
