Project Engineer (BESS/Solar)

Job Description

Insight Global is looking to hire a BESS Engineer for a client in Tampa. Responsibilities include:

* Development and implementation of commercial & utility scale battery energy storage facilities, solar facilities, and collector station design/equipment specification review; health, criticality, and risk assessments; inspection, monitoring, and testing strategies; performance; safety; environmental and maintenance requirements.

* Development and implementation of commercial & utility scale battery energy storage facilities, solar facilities, and collector station reliability plan using empirical data to predict reliability performance.

* Track, analyze and assist in reporting of reliability metrics for commercial & utility scale battery energy storage facilities, solar facilities, and collector station.

* Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive data collection and predictive modeling tool for commercial & utility scale battery energy storage facilities, solar facilities, and collector station that assists in the prioritization of expenditures.

* Assist in the facilitation of system root cause analysis for commercial & utility scale battery energy storage facilities, solar facilities, and collector station. Assist in facilitation and tracking of resulting action plans to maintain appropriate system performance.

* Maintain measurement of commercial & utility scale battery energy storage facilities, solar facilities, and collector station performance to ensure achievement of organization vision and goals through performance benchmarking.

* Participate in the development of commercial & utility scale battery energy storage facilities, solar facilities, and collector station O&M, capital and other budgets and manage expenditures accordingly.

Skills and Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical preferred)

* 2 years of project engineer experience on BESS or Solar facility site

*Experience in field utility running electrical projects

* Experience with inverters larger than 3 MgW

-PMP Certification preferred null
