The Engineering Services Project Leader manages a team of five professionals providing expert engineering services across multiple ship classes and future designs.

    In this role, you will:

    • Oversee the tasking detailed engineering analyses and products across multiple programs. Prioritize workload and coordinate with government clients to meet deadlines.

    • Prepare and Review Independent Government Estimates for shipbuilder changes

    • Review and comment on shipbuilder Requests for Equitable Adjustments (REAs). Provide details of expected costs to support government position.

    • Develop Technical Assessment Review (TAR) for engineering changes across multiple programs.

    • Manage Post Delivery Engineer SME including review of post-delivery work items, engineering changes, incorporation, and execution.

    • Develop and maintain travel cost projections, ensuring costs are in accordance with JTR requirements.

    • Oversee SCIB SME supporting investments in surface combatants supply chain as a risk reducer to future ships. Ensure work products meet customer expectations for quality and detail.

    • Coordinate and support the resolution of specific issues within the technical community and maintain direct interface with stakeholders. Assist Program Managers to solve high visibility or complex issues, as required.

    • Prepare weekly and monthly reports capturing team and program accomplishments

    • Evaluate direct report personnel performance and make recommendations on merit increases. Accomplish other personnel actions such as hiring actions, time recording and training.

    Qualifications

    To be successful in this role, you will need:

    • A Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related field with at five years of relevant experience, however preferably seven years relevant experience. Significant additional relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

    • Current DoD Security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

    • Extensive knowledge of US Navy shipbuilding

    • Familiarity with engineering change process and estimation techniques.

    • Experience developing TAR and IGE

    • Experience developing and briefing Navy Program Office and SUPSHIP personnel.

    • The ability to travel at least 10% of the time.
