QA Automation Engineer

Job Description

A client in the Financial Services industry is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join one of its core development teams. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will help the team revolutionize the test infrastructure allowing fast, safe, and efficient releases. You will take advantage of cutting-edge technologies to improve automation capabilities of the infrastructure supported throughout our organization. Additionally, you will build the continuous integration infrastructure, defining CI best practices, and contributing to our test automation framework. The role is primarily looking for someone to contribute to its frontend automation, bringing expertise in Selenium. Additional responsibilities may include automation API testing using RestAssured or Postman.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience writing automated tests for web applications (using Selenium or ~~~)

Good understanding of the web application architecture, HTML, JSON

Strong web application testing experience covering functional and non functional requirements (a11y accessibility)

3+ years of experience in writing automated tests for APIs (using Rest Assured or Karate framework)

Automation skills: Cucumber, Selenium Webdriver, JavaScript, fluent in writing various locators (xpath, css etc)

Maintain objects using Page Object Model Design Pattern and Selenium WebDriver

Automate test reports using Cucumber plugin, to achieve HTML reports attached with failed scenarios and reporting it with screenshots using Java

Ability to perform functional, regression, integration, compatibility testing of web based application

Strong knowledge and experience with performance and load testing

Log Defects in Rally/Jira and maintain tracking of the defects from beginning to end of the SDLC Service virtualization tools like Wiremock

Financial Industry experience

Exposure to Quality Assurance in a variety of distributed infrastructure technologies and systems null
