    POSITION DESCRIPTION: QA/QC Technician (Resume/Certification or Degree preferred but NOT required)

    LOCATION: Geismar, La

    HOURS: 60 REQUIREMENTS: DISA U/A, BASIC PLUS, FRC

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    Monitor all aspects of quality control relative to mechanical equipment to ensure adherence to the Company technical requirements and applicable codes. Provide weekly input to the QA/QC reporting system, with regards to trends and unresolved exceptions and problems. Provide expertise to site team to avoid/resolve quality problems. Provide early warning of potential quality problems and ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed. Verify that all testing procedures have been approved and are available on site. Confirm testing parameters are duly recorded, signed off and that testing equipment is calibrated. Attend and witness testing associated with mechanical equipment and systems. Typical tests include but are not limited to non-destructive examination of designated components, hydrostatic, pneumatic, mechanical QC activities as designated. Witness acceptance tests and final quality checks prior to acceptance as appropriate. Ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed out prior to acceptance of the work. Review QA/QC files for accuracy and adequacy.

    • Responsible for Understanding the Document Control Procedure.

    • Responsible for inspecting all aspects of project construction.

    • Responsible for filling out QA/QC documents for projects.

    • Responsible for walk through and sign off with company rep.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED is required.

    • Any relative certifications are a plus, but not required.

    • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.

    • Must have a valid driver's license.

    • Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision.

    • Must possess the ability to speak with customers and various divisions on an as needed basis.

    Physical Requirements, in a given day include, but are not limited to:

    • ability to sit (50%), stand (75%) and walk (80%) for prolonged periods of time

    • ability to climb ladders (up to 25%) and work from elevated work surfaces

    • ability to walk up and down stairs (possibly several flights)

    • ability to lift up to 25 pounds

    • manual dexterity for computer use

    • when required, wear necessary flame retardant clothing

    • ability to work in all elements (hot, cold, rain, snow, etc.) for periods of time
