    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

    Department: Quality (Assumption)

    Classification: Exempt

    Reports to: Quality Mgr.

    Job Summary

    Support theAssumption plant Quality initiatives tied to process and product quality, including utilization of the AGCO Quality Systems (AQS). Ensure the Quality, Operations and cross-functional teams work together cohesively to improve the customer experience.

    Essential Job Responsibilities

    • Lead and drive continuous improvement while collaborating with Operations, Engineering and Materials teams.

    • Identify and resolve problems, utilizing the internal CAR process.

    • Investigate customer complaints and troubleshoot warranty/customer return items.

    • Conduct Quality data reporting and escalation.

    • Support development of new product and engineering designs.

    • Aid in development and use of AQS tools such as: Control Plans, Employee Evaluation/Training Plans, Quality Gates, Quality Circles, Defects Worksheets, Poka-Yoke Concepts, Final Inspection, Quality Boards, Incoming Goods Inspection Plans, Statistical Process Control, Process Capability Study and Measurement Systems Analysis.

    • Schedule and complete product and process audits.

    Safety Responsibilities

    Employees/temporary employees are responsible for individual compliance with all safety rules, policies and procedures. Associate responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Other responsibilities as assigned.

    • Comply with all safety rules, policies and procedures.

    • Report any unsafe practices and/or conditions to their supervisor.

    • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and report any defective PPE.

    • Report all near-misses, incidents, injuries, illnesses, including mobile equipment or property damage.

    • Participation in the site Safety and Health Program.

    Essential skills

    Education

    Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Technical Field.

    Qualifications and Experience

    Required

    • Minimum of two years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment.

    • Experience in quality management systems.

    • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, managers and across departments.

    • Experience in quality system audits.

    • Experience with Electrical Assy. and Mechanical Assy. processes.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

    Preferred

    • Experience with metal fabrication.

    • Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.

    • Demonstrated experience working with contract manufacturers, suppliers or distributors.

    • Familiarity with AIAG APQP and PPAP process & tools.

    • Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills.

    Supervisory Responsibility

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Work Environment

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee works with and near large machinery and equipment daily. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee is exposed to a variety of extreme conditions including temperatures ranging from 40°F to 105°F. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or craw and frequently required touse hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands or arms.The employee must be able to stand for up to twelve hours per day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    The employee must wear personal protective equipment (i.e. eye protection, respirator, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves, sleeves, etc.).

    Travel

    Willingness to travel when required.
