Quality Engineer

Description

The preferred candidate is an experienced Quality Engineer or Manager, passionate about quality, and capable of inspiring others. They possess strong leadership and communication skills, are resolute in their decisions and maintain a strategic viewpoint even in a challenging tactical setting. This candidate demonstrates a proactive and pragmatic approach to Quality, while taking a structured approach to problem solving.

1. Maintains and tracks quality KPI's for purposes of analysis, control, and management reports.

2. Designs and maintains a quality management system to align with internal quality standards.

3. Lead Root Cause Corrective Action investigations for internal scrap, customer returns and product improvements.

4. Develop and implement a supplier development and monitoring program, including PPAPs (or similar) and scorecard monitoring.

5. Communicate effectively with suppliers on all aspects of quality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Advanced degree in quality, manufacturing, engineering, or equivalent experience

3-5 years of Quality engineering or management experience

3-5 years experience with Manufacturing Quality and Production processes (specifically mechanical and electrical assembly).

Working knowledge of the PPAP (or similar) process.

Ability to read and understand part/assembly 2D drawings and CAD models.

Nice to Have

Working knowledge of GD&T.

Knowledge of FARO arms and CAM2 software a plus.

Proficient in MRP/ERP systems as well as Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.
