Senior Aerospace Engineer

Overview

Peraton is looking for a Senior Aerospace Engineer to work with emerging service and distributed computing technologies for satellite situational awareness data processing and distribution as a member of our systems integration teams supporting our DoD and IC clients.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Participate in software and algorithm design, development, and integration efforts as subject matter expert and assist with defining operational processes, testing and validation, and maintaining operational environments.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI security clearance at minimum. Must be able to obtain a polygraph after hire.

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field

• 10+ years' experience supporting aerospace programs

• Experience with aerospace software tools to include operation, testing, and validation.

• Expert orbitology knowledge and mathematics required.

• Able to think creatively and operate in a collaborative, fast-paced, process-oriented, deadline-driven and sometimes ambiguous environment with little supervision.

• Able to express yourself confidently, concisely, and accurately through written and oral communications.

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with current IC systems and associated policies/procedures is desired, with an emphasis on deriving requirements, analyzing the effectiveness of operational environments, and suggesting improvements to the operational environments.

• Experience with satellite ground systems.

Security Clearance:This position requires the candidate to have an active TS/SCI security clearance and maintain said clearance thereafter.
