    Job Description

    An Industrial Engineer is responsible for investigating process/system troubles, developing process/system improvement activities that continuously and systematically improve the efficiency, cycle time, and profitability of manufacturing operations. As an individual contributor, the person will perform the following:

    Responsibilities

    • Design capacity models for determining factory capacity, including modeling and simulation.

    • Develop new processes and supporting systems for future improvements.

    • System evaluations to improve productivity and reduce cost.

    • Recommend and implement new software tools, simulation, capacity models/tools.

    • Responsible for the analysis and plausibility check of data from different sources for the evaluation of complex processes as well as for the identification of improvement potential.

    • Develop tools for simple online machine monitoring, including daily deviation management.

    • Apply standard IE methods such as OEE analyses, taking into account the specifics of the semiconductor environment (for example SEMI E10).

    Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, operations research or equivalent education and 4+ years of relative exp.

    • 2+ years experience with complex data queries from Oracle and SQL Server databases, along with presentation of data for analysis and problem solving.

    • 2+ years experience in Industrial Engineering, mechanical engineering and process support in semiconductor manufacturing

    • 2+ years experience in descriptive and diagnostic data analysis (SW tools) including statistical evaluations; experience in RTD - Real Time Dispatching; experience in Manufacturing Engineering.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in a complex manufacturing environment.

    • Understanding of production line control i.e. inventory control points and flow processing, tradeoffs between turnaround time and capacity utilization, bottleneck recovery and production line balancing. Good working knowledge of the techniques used for line leveling and the implementation of Lean Production techniques.

    • Data science experience

    • Strong computer skills in Microsoft applications-Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

    • Proficiency to understand manufacturing equipment and be willing to work with different, often complex data sets to get knowledgeable insights out of it

    • Strong communications skills with various audiences from vendors to fellow engineers and from line production operators to executive management.

    Additional Information

    • This role will work on site in Roseville, CA.

    • This position works Monday- Friday, additional hours as necessary.

    The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $88,000 - $100,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. Your Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.
