  • Job Summary

    Responsible for day-to-day efforts on Information security risk management for the organization, focusing on detailed technology issues.

    Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

    • Conduct independent test and evaluation of new and existing systems.

    • Perform testing to include system security testing, vulnerability scanning, security configuration reviews of desktop/laptop images, write test plans, test cases/scripts, status reports and test summary reports.

    • Identify security vulnerabilities and develop algorithms and methods for detecting and preventing host and network based attacks.

    • Perform advanced analysis and/or reverse engineering of suspect source code and make the appropriate changes to security event detection systems.

    • Implement the appropriate processes and tools to deliver sound investigations as well as analyze log files for activities surrounding security events.

    • Initiate security response procedures when a problem is detected and methodically create and update security standard documentation.

    • Develop attack and defense methodologies for high risk computer networks.

    • Write scripts and develop software utilities to automate security analysis efforts.

    • Perform a wide range of technical operations related to the location, retrieval, processing, review, analysis, and production of electronic data for discovery, audit, or investigation.

    • Perform quality checks on all data collected, copy final data deliverables to various media, and document the procedures used in the collection process.

    • Maintain procedures and devices in compliance with SOX compliance, PCI regulations and other regulatory authorities as required.

    • Provide data to internal or external auditors for security and compliance audits.

    • Serve as a liaison between the legal team, outside counsel, IT personnel, and internal organization.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or closely related field with 10 years of experience involving Information Technology Security.

    • Will also accept Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or closely related field with 8 years of experience involving Information Technology Security.

    • Stated experience must include experience with open source security solutions for firewalls, HIDS, NIDS and vulnerability assessments and in enterprise project management.

    • Up to 20% domestic travel required.
