  • Cambrae Business Strategies, Inc., recognized for consistently providing excellent results for its federal government and private sector clients, is seeking a remote, highly motivated, and experienced Senior Software/System Architect with Java and PL/SQL development experience to join our team to support our government clients.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Assess the architecture/design of an existing Data Store.
    • Document and present findings and recommended solution and technology.
    • Develop and present high-level model and epics/requirements. Activities include creating a problem statement, conducting gap analysis, defining operational requirements including integration with other systems or components, researching, and modeling the system architecture and configuration, investigation alternatives, cost analysis and estimation, and decision analysis.
    • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate requirements into hardware and software specifications.
    • Ensures application and infrastructure architectural solutions are stable, secure, and compliant with company standards and practices.
    • Perform design and implementation of IT systems that require the integration of diverse and complex components.
    • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
    • Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements, facility requirements, data storage, backup, monitoring, operations systems, multiple operating systems, directory services, identity management, access management, and automation.
    • Applies advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to development of new principles and concepts.
    • Work with the Agile Team(s) to implement the approved solution.
    • Develop ETL and PL/SQL code to replace existing MuleSoft batch code; perform work with ETL jobs for new or existing MuleSoft code; apply extensive knowledge of Java and PL/SQL.

    Required Skills:

    • Experience in assessing existing system architectures and designing alternative solutions.
    • Hands on experience in developing ETL and PL/SQL code to replace existing MuleSoft batch code. MuleSoft integration experience will be an advantage.
    • Expert knowledge of one or more ETL tools, minimum 7 years' experience.
    • Latest Java experience, minimum version 8 or above.
    • Experience in maintenance and support of production code (sustainment).
    • Experience with creating PL/SQL Packages, Procedures, Functions, and Exception handling for retrieving, manipulating, checking, and migrating complex data sets in Oracle 12c and later versions of Oracle.
    • Knowledge of SQL Developer, Toad for Oracle, AWS, Git/Bit Bucket and CI/CD.
    • Experience in end-to-end testing process and framework.
    • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
    • Highly motivated self-starter with a positive attitude and outstanding interpersonal skills

    Desired Skills:

    • Experience with MuleSoft.
    • Experience with scheduling tools, for example Tivoli or Ansible.
    • Experience with Linux scripting.

    Required Education, Experience, and Clearance:

    • Bachelors and twelve (12) years or more experience, - OR –
    • Masters and ten (10) years or more experience.
