Job Description & Qualifications:
Application Security Enablement Team is focused on developing and deploying best practices and tools in Ford's application development environment with the aim to help the development teams produce secure code. We are developing PCF based applications and API's that will help our customers evaluate their source code for security vulnerabilities. Additionally, we have several third-party products that we are integrating in our tooling as well. Engineers working in our team have expertise in languages and frameworks such as Spring Boot, Angular, React, REST Webservices and others. They also use Agile best practices and DevOps process and tools.
Develop PCF based applications and API's
Utilize Agile best practices and DevOps process and tools.
Must multi-task and manage changing priorities
Will work independently and take initiative when solving unexpected problems
Work collaboratively with stakeholders, product owners, product managers & fellow software engineers
2+ years of work experience in Object Oriented development using J2EE, SpringBoot, Angular, Kotlin frameworks or similar languages/frameworks
2+ years of experience with GitHub, Jenkins and other DevOps platforms
1+ years of experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and test simulations
Exceptional software engineering knowledge and OO Design Principles
Familiar with Paired Programming and Test-first/Test Driven Development (TDD)
Experience with Spring Cloud and deploying to cloud platforms, preferably Pivotal Cloud Foundry or Cloud Foundry
Experience with RESTFUL/SOAP Web services development.
Experience with GitHub or equivalent source control repositories and Build Tools like Gradle
Highly effective in working with other technical experts, Product Managers, UI/UX Designers and business stakeholders
Capable in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools and pipelines such as Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, etc.
Experience with Java development using Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA or similar tooling
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative when solving unexpected problems
Experience in development of microservices.
Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools and pipelines
Experience understanding/deploying to cloud environments - PCF/ Azure etc
Experience with CA Agile Central (Rally), backlogs, iterations, user stories, or similar Agile tools.
