Software Engineer

Description

Actalent is hiring a Embedded Software Engineer to join our team! This engineer will be working with automotive vehicles to make them wheelchair accessible.

Responsibilities

• Write code for communication to and from our Modules.

• Write code to control functions of motors, actuators, and various other outputs.

• Update code of existing Modules to bring up to date.

• Write code that will Interface with OEM vehicles (Specifically CAN based messaging)

• Write computer software to allow for a graphical interface from dealer techs to the BraunAbility controller.

• Connect to stock vehicles and reverse engineer/decipher CAN/LIN messages.

• Debug, Document, and Maintain all created software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must Haves

• Embedded C or C++ experience

• Microcontroller, Microprocessor experience.

• Need/want someone who likes to get their hands dirty. They will be hands on within development and testing, full lifecycle exposure. Troubleshooting on vehicles, wiring signal dev, understanding how the systems operate. This person wont be developing and handing off, have to own the entire code.

Preferred

• Automotive

• Vehicle CAN messaging back and forth between modules - need to get up to speed quickly
