    Responsibilities

    Major Job Activities:

    This Software Engineer III role directly supports the Advanced Hypersonic Weapons & Guided Munitions Division (E20) of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) that conducts research and development analyses in the following technical disciplines: guided munitions including guided and unguided projectiles, guided missiles, and guided rockets, advanced fire control and methods to close the fire control loop against threats, gun and launcher systems, sensors, and high speed projectiles and bullets.

    This role is open only to applicants with an active SECRET security clearance. This role supports a hybrid telework posture. Telework is supportable up to 40% at the discretion of the government customer, with the remainder of the work performed at the customer site on Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Education:

    • Bachelor's of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.

    • Experience:

    • Minimum of six (6) years related technical experience.

    • Minimum of four (4) years of specialized experience performing computer hardware engineering, software design, coding and compilation of code; computer or software requirements management, computer systems or software integration; and utilizing systems engineering software tools. Specialized experience shall also include demonstrated ability to engineer complex systems with integrated software and hardware solutions. Experience related to weapons systems and/or Navy programs and HTML, C/C++, Python, MATLAB, Solidworks, Unix, and Linux is desired.

    • Clearance Requirement:

    • Active US DoD SECRET Clearance.

    • The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company:

    • USD $ 105,000 - 125,000

    • Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional / geographic locations across the United States.
