Our team builds services that help developers drive user engagement and coordination in their titles, to generate a rich ecosystem of immersive social content. We work directly with the top developers on the Oculus platform to create lightweight ways to compete, coordinate and communicate with people in VR, driving social experiences with tightly integrated products like Messenger and remote headset launching. We partner with internal teams to build products that are not available to third party developers, like a VR personalized feed, VR centric landing pages, and intelligent notification campaigns.Your role as a Software Engineer is to provide technical and strategic leadership to the team, shaping the future of all virtual social experiences.Required Skills: 1. Technical input and/or guidance and advice on implementation including feature tradeoffs, scalability, reliability, privacy and legal compliance2. Broader collaboration and prioritization with internal partner teams3. Building direct relationships with our customers: third party app developersMinimum Qualifications: 4. Bachelor degree in computer science or similar discipline5. 5+ years of experience as a software developer, including experience with developer SDKs and platform APIs6. Experience in building relationships with external customers, collecting requirements and driving adoption of APIs and services7. Demonstrated experience in driving coordination and collaboration across multiple teams and/or companies8. Hands-on experience with Hack/PHP, C++, C#, React or other equivalent languagesPreferred Qualifications: 9.
