    Clinical Trials are an essential component to bringing new medicines to patients. The key areas of focus include: (1) diversity in clinical trials, (2) clinical trial recruitment and (3) general education and awareness of clinical trials. This job is the ultimate reminder that as new medicines and vaccines continue to take center stage around the globe, timely completion of carefully designed clinical trials is critical to drug development.

    The Specialist, Clinical Trials Communications role within our Research & Development organization, will support our strategic enterprise wide ( I nternal and External) critical communications, focused on our global Clinical Trial efforts.

    This role is responsible for supporting the implementation of an enterprise-wide clinical trials communications strategy which includes the following :

    • Developing content for internal and external communications channels including the company website, social media channels, sponsored opportunities, etc.,

    • Creation of materials for clinical trial recruitment in collaboration with agency partners and the clinical trials team (includes core response documents; speaking guidance documents; social media content; infographics, media outreach letters, etc.,)

    • Support on planning meetings with key stakeholders and setting agendas for each meeting

    • Support on legal/compliance/regulatory reviews on external facing materials

    • Support with community engagement and outreach efforts (e.g., developing communication materials and coordinating meetings)

    • Health literacy media reviews to ensure materials resonate with target audiences and are clear

    • Lead regular reviews of analytics and data to optimize clinical trial paid media activations

    • Share clinical trial communication materials globally with partners to amplify messaging for clinical trial programs, etc.,

    Commute/Location:

    • This role is based at our Headquarters site in Rahway, NJ (USA), with a Hybrid setup ( combination of an in-office & remote ).

    • This position cannot be 100% remote.

    Education Minimum Requirement:

    Bachelor's Degree required - Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or relevant experience. Advanced degree preferred.

    Required Experience and Skills:

    • A minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in a communications or public relations role within the pharmaceutical or a related industry (hospital, public health, etc.)

    • Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and competing priorities - ability manage multiple deadlines.

    • Experience in preparing strategic communications plans and deliver at the tactical level.

    • Excellent analytical, written, and oral communications skills across a variety of mediums/channels (e.g., print, digital, presentation)

    • Collaborator with ability to work independently, detail-oriented, comfortable in a high-visibility role in a fast-paced matrixed environment.

    Preferred Experience & Skills:

    • Clinical trial communications experience

    • Budget and agency management experience.

    U.S. Hybrid Work Model

    Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.

    Expected salary range

    $75,400.00 - $118,700.00
