    What you will do

    As an CAD Engineer-Senior, you will be working with our Prototype Operations team to deliver tomorrow's products today by using CAD tools to analyze and prepare prototype test objects.

    Responsibilities

    • Participate in cross-functional work related to prototypes together with representatives from Prototype Builds, Vehicle Engineering, Prototype Test and Assembly, and the CV-PMO to support test object assembly.

    • Support Prototype Operations to ensure that all prototypes needed for the verification and validation in development projects are delivered on time and with the correct content.

    • Build virtual models of test objects to support bill-of-material development and graphical representations for the build teams.

    • Using CAD to identify and support resolution of packaging conflicts prior to test object build starts.

    • Act as an active member of the Prototype Operations Team and working closely with project managers, technology leaders, buyers, workshop personnel as well as the development and verification teams.

    • Actively develop the virtual tools and methods for sustained use of virtual tools for supporting Prototype Operations.

    • Actively participate in the global network of CAD professionals to develop ways-of-working and to support the development of virtual twins for test objects

    • Support and mentor lower level professionals within Prototype Builds

    Who are you?

    You are a Senior Engineer that is prepared to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment, gaining experience and knowledge in various aspects of engineering related to prototype builds and project management.

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

    • 5-8+ years of CAD engineering experience

    • Knowledge of heavy equipment and automotive transportation industry preferred

    • CAD/CREO experience required; Professional training in a CAD system required

    • Proficient in Kola, Protom knowledge is a plus

    • Able to work independently and with limited supervision
