    Job Summary

    Under limited supervision, uses specialized knowledge and skills obtained through training and experience to identify opportunities for process improvements and provides innovative solutions that yield long-term efficiencies and benefits. As part of the Center of Excellence, it oversees the execution of Finance automation projects in alignment with established governance processes, provides guidance and training to Finance associates, evaluates complex processes and recommends solutions. Leads various automation projects and other strategic initiatives that may impact multiple business units. Involves an understanding of applications and other technology utilized in Finance and may act as a liaison between our business area partners and IT to provide support. Performs and manages varied work that is difficult in character requiring analysis,

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Leads multiple large, high priority and complex initiatives with significant impact on business processes or business financials.

    • Develops and designs automated solutions for Finance areas utilizing Alteryx.

    • Partners with Information Technology to source and support the availability and accuracy of data in alignment of strategic technology initiatives.

    • Consults with the Accounting and Financial Reporting business area management teams to identify opportunities for business process improvements and automation. Where feasible, initiates and implements solutions.

    • Leverages project management skills to manage and execute projects in accordance with a robust governance framework which involves requirements gathering, development, validation, testing, and coordination with various teams.

    • Generates project proposals for management review, implements approved proposals, documents and trains users, and supports implemented processes.

    • Acts as a SME for Alteryx, educating other Finance Alteryx Developers on enhancements, process changes, best practices, and provides ongoing support and training for use of the tool.

    • Develops reporting deliverables and communicates project updates and results to Management and other Governance Committees.

    • Researches and assesses new innovative technologies in the industry and partners with vendors, technology, and the business to implement solutions that address complex business problems (UI Path, AI, OCR)

    • Develops new processes and leverages relationships with the firms Technology Innovation team and other Alteryx firm developers to promote the continuous evolution of the Finance Center of Excellence program

    • Leads the coordination and support for Designer and Server upgrades and enhancements.

    • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

    Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Knowledge of

    • Principles, practices, and procedures of internal systems and processes.

    • Project Management processes and procedures.

    • Business Process Improvement Processes and Procedures preferred.

    • Advanced knowledge of Alteryx, other automation tools and capabilities

    Skill in

    • Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, spreadsheets, and databases at an intermediate level.

    • Strong analytical and problem skills sufficient to recognize and detect work errors and correct them or offer resolution.

    • Strong detail-orientation.

    • Experience in development of Alteryx workflows

    Educational/Previous Experience Requirements

    Education/Previous Experience

    • Business Process Improvement, Automation, and Analytics

    • Accounting knowledge, general ledger, and project accounting process experience required

    • Bachelor's degree with technical or business specification and three (3) to five (5) years' experience including any combination of the following: Project Management, Technical Consulting, Technical Analysis, General Finance or Accounting.

    • OR ~

    • Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.

    Licenses/Certifications

    • Alteryx Certification preferred

    • Lean Six Sigma or Design Thinking training or certification preferred

    • PMP certified preferred
