    Sr. Civil/Structural Engineer

    KBR is looking for a Sr. Civil/Structural Engineer to support constructions projects under general supervision. You will independently apply advanced engineering techniques, make decisions on engineering problems and methods, and represent the organization in client meeting to resolve important questions or to negotiate with key engineers and officials in other organizations. You will provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers and is consulted extensively by associates and others with a high degree of reliance placed on scientific interpretations and advice. Job role is responsible for civil/structural engineering and design at a client site.

    Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

    Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to

    • Responsible for technical content on construction released structural drawings.

    • Responsible for preparing structural calculations.

    • Responsible for preparing construction Drawings and specifications.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    • BS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

    • 10+ years of related experience

    • Professional Engineer License required for Virginia, New York, or the ability to complete this certification within 6 months.

    • Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.

    • Experience in structural and civil engineering on a client site is preferred.

    Physical Qualifications

    • Work is located at a working plant and requires exposure to ambient temperature extremes.

    • Work may require using and wearing personal protective equipment such as fire-retardant clothing, hearing and eye protection, hard hat and steel-toed boots.

    • Day-to-day physical requirements involve standard office activities including sitting/standing for extended periods of time, attending meetings, use of keyboard and mouse repetitively, lifting and carrying less than 20 lbs frequently, etc

    • Work requires moderate physical exertion including walking to operating areas and walking up stairs

    • May require walking the plant property
