What You'll Do

The Sr. Design Engineer is responsible for performing engineering design on a variety of engineering tasks both independently and with ongoing supervision. The Sr. Design Engineer receives technical guidance on new design topics that have not been experienced previously. The Sr. Design Engineer will work closely with senior engineers on typical engineering assignments tasks.

• Apply technical knowledge to designs and ensures projects meet specifications

• Understand and apply appropriate industry codes, standards, and regulations

• Ensure the work products prepared under their control follow established ENE and client procedures, including quality control, document control, procurement, and other pertinent policies

• Lead the development of their discipline's design on simple projects, and support complex projects, including moderate difficulty technical analyses. Work with Designers and Drafters to complete design packages

• Assist the Design Coordinator evaluate design personnel and assign design related tasks to Designers and Drafters via the Design Coordinator

• Support the preparation of simple and medium designs or small portions of larger projects, including calculations and drawings

• Self-check work assignments prior to submitting for review, complete work with minimal errors. Participate in peer reviews and QC reviews

• Communicate challenges regarding scope, cost, schedule and quality

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET accredited university and 2-3 years of relevant industry experience

• Knowledge of Computer Aided Design or GIS Design

• Strong work ethic with desire to work in a production environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Client facing experience.

• Working knowledge of QA/QC utilization methods.

Benefits & Salary:

• This position pays between 75,000 and 85,000 annually and is an exempt position.

• Benefits offered include company sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually.

• Full time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours.

• May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.
