    We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. SAP Basis Administrator to join our SAP Systems team in San Diego, CA.

    With limited direction, this position exercises considerable latitude in maintaining the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems. Develops and monitors the assigned organization's policies and standards for allocation and use of office automation equipment and computing resources. Ensures organization policies and standards are integrated with overall company policies and standards. Duties include user account administration, maintaining documentation, system hardware and software installation and configuration, allocation of mass storage space, effectively securing computing resources, and backing up systems to provide data integrity. May function in an advisory role providing direction to professional or technical staff and may participate with management in short and long term planning. Coordinates the assigned organization's electronic office systems activities, which may include personal computers, server systems and associated software, and standard software products. Interacts with all levels of users and analyzes vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation, and trains internal users. May act as a lead and participate in the selection and development of the organizations information technology staff.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • SAP Basis administration and technical core competencies tasks including SAP applications, S/4HANA, and Oracle software installation and configuration, upgrade, applying Support Packages, and installation of add-on software components.

    • Responsible for maintaining SAP -ECC, BW, SNC, PI, SLD, Portal, ChaRM, FIORI, GRC, MII-CAMS, Data services, Business Objects, Personas, SLT replication and Solution manager systems with dual stack and HANA and Oracle Database systems.

    • Experience with private/public cloud-based SAP implementations. Knowledge of SSO and SAML implementations.

    • Responsible for executing daily operational activities related to the SAP environment including object transports, setup/configuration, operational SAP monitoring, troubleshooting and error handling, performance/tuning, and problem determination/resolution.

    • Responsible for UNIX scripting, database creations, migrations, system sizing, systems configurations, storage management, database backups, recovery and DR for SAP systems.

    • AIX administration and building high availability of SAP systems (fail-over, disaster recovery etc.).

    • Maintaining interfaces to 3rd party technologies such as BSI Taxfactory, Sabrix OneSource TAX, OpenText, Adobe Forms, Tidal job scheduler and other bolt-ons.

    • Plans and coordinates day-to-day operation and maintenance of computer systems, including Windows, Linux and Unix operating systems and applications.

    • Determines comprehensive solution(s) for unusually complex system problems. Troubleshoots and evaluates hardware and software.

    • Represents the organization as a primary technical contact with suppliers and vendors.

    • May function in an advisory or leadership role and provide direction and guidance to less experienced professional or technical staff.

    • -Formulates plans and guides the implementation of system changes or upgrades including deployment, resource requirements, testing, documentation, integration and compliance and safety.

    • Plans for future applications or solutions based on new technology.

    • Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

    • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.

    • Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

    Job Qualifications:

    • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in information technology or a related discipline and ten or more years of progressive professional experience in an information technology department primarily in systems administration. May substitute equivalent working experience in the field in lieu of education.

    • Must demonstrate an extensive technical expertise and application of system administration theories, concepts and practices including but not limited to system design, installation, configuration and management, performance tuning and measurement, back-up, recovery (including disaster recovery planning and testing), TCP/IP and related protocols and network concepts, security/firewalls, web servers, and load balancing.

    • Must have project leadership skills including organizing, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates.

    • Must be able to contribute to the development of new processes or systems, resolve complex technical problems, serve as spokesperson or leader on projects, and be a technical expert in one or more information technology areas.

    • Must be customer focused.

    • Ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop innovative solutions to a variety of unusually complex matters.

    • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings to a variety of audiences including senior management and senior external parties.

    • Excellent interpersonal skills to influence and guide all levels of employees, including senior managers and senior external parties.

    • Represent the company as a technical expert on external projects.

    • Excellent computer skills.

    • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
