Sr. Specialist -Software Development & Engineering

Duties : Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Proactively detect, troubleshoot, and resolve all issues affecting production applications. Coordinate with and escalate necessary matters to development and external teams. Responsible for issues escalated to WAM Engineering until resolved, or a workaround is instituted. Provide clear, concise, and timely communication to affected parties during the investigation and resolution of individual or system-wide outages. Ensure the change implementation management policies are adhered to for all changes deployed to production. Work with development teams at the appropriate stages to ensure the support strategy guidelines are followed and new systems or projects meet the production standards. Update knowledge repository, ensure information regarding support related activities, or issues are available and easily accessible. Service requests for data or other activities that require access to production systems. Position allows for partial remote work (2-3 times in the office). Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Westlake, TX.

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

Salary: $139,892 to $160,800 per year

What you have

Job Requirements : Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience in a related occupation.

Experience must include the following: Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle SQL; Informatica ETL or Markit EDM; Splunk; Jira; Eagle STAR and Eagle Pace; UNIX Shell Scripting or Perl Scripting; and Service Now or Remedy.
