    Job Summary:

    Raymond James Technology is seeking a well-rounded Senior Systems Engineer who specializes in Directory Services technology. This individual will be primarily responsible for managing, maintaining and improving Active Directory, Azure Active Directory and the DNS, DHCP and IPAM (DDI) infrastructure. Using business driven requirements, plans and designs enterprise systems infrastructure including the evaluation and implementation of hardware and software products and engineers and tests technology solutions. Monitors the day to day performance of the infrastructure and may work with project teams on the integration of new systems. Creates strategies and develops resolutions for complex problems, incidents and outage situations. Demonstrates subject matter expertise and is able to integrate domain knowledge with an understanding of financial services standards and practices. Often handles the most complex or escalated issues, provides direction and guidance to other team members and leads small to medium projects and project teams. This position has the ability to sit in one of our select technology hubs: St Petersburg, FL; Denver, CO; Memphis, TN; Southfield, MI. Also, we are open to remote candidates that are based out of other locations in the United States.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Lifecycle support in the areas of AD and DDI.

    • Support AD and DDI system-based processes.

    • Define and implement AD and DDI support procedures.

    • Manage AD and DDI business requirements and processes.

    • Perform AD and DDI project related tasks.

    • Manages the evaluation and implementation of new products and technologies which typically cover a broad variety of enterprise-class infrastructure disciplines.

    • Researches and recommends innovative technologies and approaches for enterprise infrastructure management, upgrades, or improvements, while adhering to technical or budgetary constraints.

    • Analyzes system requirements, including identifying interactions and appropriate interfaces between affected components and sub systems.

    • Proactively plans capacity of platforms and applications.

    • Obtains and evaluates information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine software and hardware configuration.

    • Participates in software system testing and validation procedures, programming and documentation.

    • May lead projects including preparing project plans, assigning tasks, monitoring statuses, coordinating efforts, validating team recommendations, integrating efforts into a comprehensive strategy and delivering results on time.

    • Writes and/or reviews system specifications, including output requirements, flow charts and technical diagrams.


    Experience and Skills:

    • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and seven (7) years of relevant experience or combination or education, experience and training.

    • Must have 5 (five) or more years working experience with DDI, Active Directory and other related infrastructure. Direct experience with Infoblox is desired.

    • Proven hands-on experience with identity, access and authentication management and related tools and technologies.

    • Proven hands-on experience with networking solutions such as DDI and related technologies.

    • Strong and proven scripting skills using Powershell, API scripting, etc.

    • Experience with cloud services such as Office 365, Box, Slack, AWS, or Azure.

    • Enterprise level experience required, Financial Services experience preferred.

    • Knowledge of the following:

    o IP network design practices and principles.

    o Windows Server and Workstation Operating Systems.

    o Intel-based hardware configurations and components for desktops and servers.

    o Security best practices for Windows-based systems including PKI principles and components.

    o Microsoft Active Directory architecture.

    o Storage Area Network technologies.

    o Messaging concepts and components including SMTP mail, web-based mail and Instant Messaging.

    o Backup and restore technologies.

    o System monitoring and event analysis.

    o Virtualization concepts and technologies.

    • May occasionally work a non-standard shift including nights and/or weekends and/or have on-call responsibilities.


    • None required.
